FIELD DECISION Semi-Fiction

A minor diplomat's difficult daughter is missing in Germany. German cops and the American MP's have written her off as a runaway, but finding a cache of drugs and money pits her mother and Ed Cade against both the "good" guys and the bad.
I've looked at e-books from the beginning as an impractical, and probably doomed, way of getting one's work out to the public. BUT... The other day, I prowled Ed Howdershelt's site and found myself painfully downloading one of his stories, a chapter at a time (the free sample way), and devouring it.
It's good stuff, presented with a sense of humor. I ended up ordering the CD, God forgive me. (but it was cheap) - Bill Penrose

DRAGONFLY RUN Semi-Fiction

Ten years in Europe and Africa as a mercenary and
working for a branch of a certain intelligence agency
are revealed. Only names have been changed.
I just finished reading your latest book. I've read everything you've done and liked most of your work, especially Dragonfly Run.
I really enjoy reading your works because of the easy flow and believability (even in the real fiction).
Every work has meaning and it forces me to read slowly to enjoy every word. I also like your philosophy towards women and life in general. Keep writing, I'm waiting for your next. - G. Hucks

KIM Semi-Fiction

Kim was Ed Cade's own personal goddess. In his world, there could be only her pleasure to which to aspire...
But change is inevitable when your wife is in the Army, and their paradise ends when it overtakes Cade and Kim.
While seeking a way to remain in Europe with Kim, Ed Cade is recruited into a career for which he is eminently suited; he accepts a position with a certain intelligence agency. His newfound status as a spook displeases many -- including Kim.
Through break-ups and reunions, in danger and good-times, for excitement or love, with his goddess or other women, the reader follows Ed Cade from Texas to Virginia to Europe. From nightclubs to Emergency Rooms, archeological digs to mansions, and beaches to bedrooms, Ed's adventures explore both the US in the aftermath of Vietnam and Germany during the cold war.
With his distinctive style and voice, Ed Howdershelt brings us a story packed with situations -- sensual and personal -- which will hook readers early and usher them in to the inner place where it is they who live the moments, feel the emotions, enjoy the triumphs, and suffer the failures.
It becomes they who have loved and lost, who once held and will forever remember... Kim.

MINDY Semi-Fiction

At a medievalist reenactment group's open events in Grapevine, Texas, I met a lady named Mindy and her best friend, Diane. (Not their real names, of course.) We managed to blend our much more private events into those of a renaissance festival. The real "Mindy" helped edit the more graphic depictions of this book.
Subject: Re: Ed's Books
For what it's worth, I've read some of Ed's books and to quote Tony the Tiger, "They're great!!!"
(As in great fun.)
Usual disclaimer, I'm not professionally or financially associated with Ed in any way. - Freddie aka Kate Saundby shippard@w...
